THRUST filter question

Does anyone find that when switching the filter in, the amount of GR changes, or maybe the threshold changes? Is this normal? Whats the cause ?? thanks.
 
It makes sense that the gain reduction should decrease. When you put the filter in you remove the bottom end from the side chain. Low frequencies have a lot of "energy" so when you remove the low end the RMS level of the sidechain signal is lower meaning you get less gain reduction.
 
Yeah, mine does this too. I also think it has to do with the low freq's being filteres out. I just tweak the threshold when I switch in the Thrust-filter :guinness:
