Can some knowledgble kind soul give me a Maplin equivilent part number for this componant please. I have quoted exactly as it was written.

1/8W 6,8k 0805 SMD Resistor (Code 421900682).

I don't want to go & ask as they usually give me the wrong part despite what you tell them.

What do you need it for?
I assume it is in a mic preamp - which one?

Avoid Maplin - surely you have a local TV repair shop you can buy some resistors from (where are you??)

Hey Sharky, According to my current catalogue, they don't do surface mount resistors any more.
The nearest thing is M6K8 which is the standard metal film resistor.

Hi again,

I posted a new topic by accident. Anyway here is the circuit diagram from the manuf. See link below. What would suffice in place of this part. I need it to be as good as it is a microphone & it's go to be clear & audible.

Thanks.

Yes, the conventional component would be fine.... there should be plenty of room inside the jack plug.

Just soldered the suggested resistor in place & it sounds great. Great to get use of this headset at last. Thanks again.
