Hi!

Trying to get hold of some Alps pots for Yamaha REV-7 - no idea of the specs as I dont have a schematic, but the pots that need replacing have "KV203" and "KV104C" written on them. By any chance does anyone have a link to APLS pot codes so I can find out what these are? Alternatively if anyone has the REV-7 schems that would be great!

Thanks a lot!

Pot "codes" usually resemble SMD resistor codes..

104 = 10 with 4 zeros =100,000 or 100k

203= 20 with 3 zeros= 20,000 or 20k

C refers to the type of taper used,

C would be an older spec and would be used to specify a LOG taper.

A used to be LINEAR, F used to be REVERSE LOG.

now A means LOG, B means LINEAR and as far as I know there is nothing for Antilog/Reverse log.

I've seen 'C' used for rev-logs.

Peace,
Al.
yeah I'm pretty sure I have too but i can't find anything that specifically says that C is now rev log.. :oops: ?
and gar381 later on

Omega and Alps use different naming conventions (Europe vs Japan/USA)

and what would RD mean for an Alp pot with those writtings ?

502RD
609D

Where can I find that ? I've tried but no way to find them in france !

Thanks a lot for the help - the KV104C's are EQ frequency control (hi & low), so I suspect they may be reverse log.. I'll keep searching for the schems and info, and if anything turns up I will make sure to post it here.
Thanks again!
