Hey Guys,

I?ve decided to get a Tektronics Scope, either the 2215/2225/2235 or the
older 465/465B or even the diminutive 422.

I?m aware that these are up for grabs on Ebay but the problem is that is
Ebay can be a bit of a hit or miss thing... As some of us can attest to.

I?m going to be in London next week for 3 weeks and was wondering if there
are any UK guys know of a good brick and mortar store(s) that sell second
hand scopes, in full working order.

By budget isn't big, but I could spring up to £100 for one. Is this doable?

Any help or advise would be much appreciated.

Cheers

mmmhhh
Interesting - if you find any good shops in London please do tell..

Otherwise it's time to visit
Reading (oh - the fun you are going to have)

To be quite honest rather than looking for shops you might end up going to local Amateur Radio Rallies where you may find some bargains.

Hey Uk,

Thanks for tip off, I dropped the Stewart and e-mail. I'd likw to know more about the Amateur Radio Rallies, I assume guys sell off old gear here? I'll be in Kingston for a couple weeks, any way of finding where these Rallies go down?

Thanks Rob,

I did a search on Google and it seem that the last one is around December 4th and then next year in Feb.

I'll keep looking, something may be up, got to wait a couple days to find out.

Thanks for the advise and tip offs. Hoep we can still get together for drink in Jan.

Cheers

I GOT A SCOPE!

This is another DIY milestone for me, kind of a leap forward in solidifying
my addiction to DIY (which is a blessing and curse... ask my wife!)

I managed to get an older Tektronics 422 Dual Scope, DC ?15Mhz, with a Tek
probe and some generics off of Ebay, stated in Good Working order, owned by
a retired engineer.

I get to check it out in person as I?m organizing a local pick up in a week
when I?m in London, best of all I won it for the mere sum or £52 ($90!)

I am over the moon! Thanks guys for all your help and advise.
