Hi.
I am currently recapping a pair of TAB U73b compressors and a Varicom.
I found some nice Rifa caps for the power supply but is unsure what to use in the rest of the curcuit.
Does anyone have any recomendations for what to use in these modules??
Any type of cap that will sound "better" in the TAB modules??

Any suggestons appriciated!!

Thanks Darius.

Why i but "better" in qoutation marks is just because that better is very sujective, what one guy think is good another can hate.
What i was looking for was if someone had a type of cap that they had found to be "good" in these modules.
And you gave me an answer to that as well!
What series of Wimas have you used???

And does anyone know what caps Oliver at TAB FUNKENWERK use in his new recreations??
Would be fun to know.

Regards,
Dennis

I have heard that Chinese caps approximate the sound of the old MKP/MKT German caps.
Is XICOM Chinese? You might try some of those if you want the old sound. But do you really need to change anything non lytic?

Does anyone know where to find these XICOM caps???
Sounds like i have to try these things!!!
Are they electrolytics as well, or just smaller values??

Regards,
Dennis
