After I got mine done and it worked I tried it out on the mains for live sound and it worked well. Seemed to expand the system and added great punch to an already well processed audio rigg. I have tried it on JBL Vertec, EV XLC, and V-dosc Line array systems all with great results. Glad I did it and it now lives with my distressors and other toys I take on the road.

welcome cableguy

glad you are happy

if I am reading my emails right cableguy is on the road with a couple of bands and one of them is a blast from the past with a solid core audience.

... the green-pre is a cool first mic-pre project BUT since you have a successful GSSL I suggest you head for a classier Mic-pre.
The Gain Block idea is good and the JLM99 is a good example of this
Fabios PCB, SeventhCircle and other variants are all worth a look.

Keef's SSL9 might be worth a look
Green MkII is also worth a look

All of the above can be squeezed into a multiple mic-pre 2RU (perhaps 1RU) case.
Good for the road.

Depending on how the Midas main desk line input is configured you may find it easy to live without an output trafo and so get it all smaller and lighter.

Look to the Sontec or Calrec for an EQ ... the calerc is a good first project
EQ's are a whole new thing

it's all good
