Nice surfing, LoFi!

I've wanted for a long time to try out the Polaroid (focus-distance-sensor) capsule in a condenser microphone. You see the cameras VERY cheaply these days..

I like the lab supply from an ATX supply

but -- do ATX PSU's use switchers instead of Linear Regs?

Wouldn't the switching noise be all over the audio?

yeah you hoser!

What was that Simpsons episode where Marge and Homer are getting ready to plummet over Niagra Falls in that inflated moonwalk? The US Coastguard and the Canadian coastguard (or whatever they are) are having an argument over who gets to rescue them, and the Canadian calls the American something like a "Shatner Stealing Mexico toucher?"

Right before I got married, my room mate was from BC. That web page looks like something he'd be up to.

.
DIY foundry.. Great link Simon.
Old welder friend/next door neighbor made one the same way.
55 gal drum, DIY crucibles etc.
Propane really is loud. Nice to see it can be done with bbq charcoal.

That organ site is excellent. Did any of you scroll down the bottom of the page where there are some links to 2 other guys who are building organs. Both of these are far less crude than the one on the original page. One of them is massive with foot pedals as well !!

Anyone know of a page to build your own vibraphone !!! I`ve always wanted a set of vibes. Then I can set up my Lionel Hamptone tribute band !!!

Rob - cheers for the info
Which evetually lead me to this
