I just want one period. Which devil/religion do I have to sell my soul to, to get one?

Red heatsinks. They sound a lot better than black ones. Yup, true, you heard it here first.

C37 ain't even close :green:

DROOL!!

"But, Jürgen, you forgot to upload the schematic."

Michael you should be ashamed, this was a really, really bad joke.
:green: :green: :green:

Honestly, I wouldn't bother DIY'ing it. It's a bargain, if you ask me, espcially with the week dollar. If I had 3-4K$ too much (yeah fukkin' right  ) I would just buy it. The rest of Manley's line I'd clone fer sure :green:

It's a true neo classic, imo. In 30 years it's gonna reach Fairchild prices. Mark my words

Hey Kubi you are a real pervert.
Behringerizing that varimooooo, man, I think nothing is sacred to you.
:green: :green: :green:
I have to admit I admire your curage. I supose E A M already sent a hitman after you. :green:

I'm stil waiting for the day when the famous B company will release this comp.
That will be a true Behringerisation because they will change all the tubes, chokes and transformers with their famous OPAMP BASED TUBE,CHOKE AND TRANSFORMER EMULATION TECHNOLOGY

Yup, Farnells. Didn't we talk about this before? Or was that another forum.. :?

Behringer won't release an MP. They only clone Aphex, Mackie, Drawmer, BSS and the like
Farnell inductors!
I don't believe it!
NOoooo !!!

let's not go there again ... :green:

EveAnna may capture you and strap you down to that bed and make you watch and listen to a FOOT LOOSE or FLASH DANCE DVD over and over again on that surround sound system of hers.

then you'll be sorry

I read on Massenburg's forum that there was a Chinese clone of a MP

When quizzed the guy who mentioned it said it looked identical, but couldn't confirm if the circuit had anything in common.

Funny thing, I auditioned all kinds of caps for my Pultecs and settled on the square ones.

The eq curves for the MP are listed at their site. So all you have to do is splice together a circuit to give you the same curves. You can increase the db cut and boost simply by making the pots higher in value, maybe up the Xl and Xc of any filter elements to match up with the increased pot value.
Look at the Tube Tech eq. It has the same cut/boost options. It needs to be balanced I believe, so a diff amp is needed. So beef up a pultec, and add on a Tube Tech and you have your MP.
:guinness:

Yeah, but mine were taken from an old Midas monitor board and are hence covered by prior copyright...sucker!!! So...where in an EQ do you put 6 10uF wima caps? I know, let's make a super low impedance version!

Noo..I´m sorry to say its not that simple...In the MP you have a mix of Opamps/tubes and X-formers..the Tube circuit has nothing to do with the tubetech/pultec tube circuits.. The eq boost/cuts are also very far from what you´d expect..*S*

Kind regards

Peter
