Hi,

first i would like to say "thanks" to all people of this forum.
I ´ve read a lot of topics and they helped me a lot. (I´m a beginner!!!)
I started building my own equipment october last year.
I´m so happy, i finished: 2 GSSL, 1176, and Neumann Summing Box.
I´m addicted to diy now.

Love to you.''

Next i want to build a stereo version of the urei with:

- Dry/Wet pot to mix the uncompressed signal in the compressed
- and an external sidechain

Questions:

1) can the dry/mix circuit be a simple passive pot?

2) no idea to start with my sidechain ;-(

Wow, that a lot off very nice looking DIY stuf. And only since October...you're a hard worker :thumb:

About the dry/mix...I think it needs some kind of simple summing circuit, a pot will not work I guess.

I think you can make a side chain input at the "stereo interconnect point".

These two answers are just a noob brainstorming so correct me if I'm wrong....

nice stuff...

1) a passive circuit will not work, because the current then also "drive backwards" so you need an active summing stage...

2) the signal feeding the control amp combined with an in/output stage is the way to go...
