Here are pics of my hamptone jfet preamp. I used mnats layout for pcb. Sorry for the crappy pics, I have come to the conclusion that my digital camera sucks. It was one of those buy a printer get a camera free deals.

This thing rocks on bass guitar. It's not to bad on vocals as far as I can tell. I used a DI transformer reversed for a mic input transformer. It was a guerrilla tactic, but I don't get any hum or noise from it. The wiring is a mess, maybe I will clean it up on day.

That looks cool! Very compact and portable!

I'm surprised at how simple the circuit looks. Has anyone made a PCB for this or a similar one? I suppose breadboard would be ok.

What are you using for a power supply?
