I have this spring reverb unit, minus the spring box..... wondering if anyone has schematics for it, or any details on how to build a spring unit (or adapt one?)

not sure what it would be good for otherwise..... a couple stancor trannies maybe

Unfortunately no. The only thing I know it used quasi-standard Hammond tanks. A good tech should be capable of tracing the schematic, then it would not be terribly difficult to determine the characteristics of the tanks. Tanks are commonly available. http://www.accutronicsreverb.com/
Who's right or wrong is irrelevant. What matters is what's right or wrong.

Here is the 658A schematic, probably similar.

I just serviced a 658a the other week.   It has 3 different length tanks,  You have 3 settings a, b & c and it switches between the 3 tanks to get them   It's quite simple really.
