Kent did some work with PRR on this a while ago. I haven't built or tested this info personally but maybe others have...?

time does fly

It works. that layout is good. I built two, one for use, the other for playing around with various ideas like class A output and such.. i'm real close to having that done too.

Sorry to be a grouch, but... geez, must there be a PCB for every project? Ya could wire that up on a piece of perfboard in less time than it takes to talk about making a PCB. I could understand needing a PCB if you wanted to make a hundred of 'em, but...

for the input trafos I used the radio shack trafos that PRR suggested. they work much better than you would think.. to the point of not noticing them at all. for the class A output I am using sowter 8751(?) and ba283s. I might try some edcor replacements too.

The only thing that I'm having a hard time rapping my head around is how to hook up the attack and realease. I'm going to build a stereo unit, and what I'm reading on the websites and layout isn't sinking in. Also....hooking up the meter since there are two meter sections on the PCB. Do I just connect to one of them?

For the attack and release....it says on the layout something like from ATT to ATT/REL from REL on channel 1 then from REL TO ATT/REL from ATT on channel 2. This is going over my head.

Any help?

I remembered thinking the same thing the fist time I looked at the schematic, pretty light on the parts...

How good/accurate can the tracking of a stereo varimu be. Mastering buddy of mine likes the look of this but he don't want to master in MONO!
