How to repaint lines on old fader knobs on the mixing desk?

I cleaned all fadre knobs from my desk and becouse of age most of lines in mid of fadres are gonne...I would like to reapint that lines again....black and white......

What type of colors are uset on that (P&G for exemple) .....how to do that...how they do that in factory....????????

Help needed.....
 
justpaint the line and wipe off the excess of the top, being careful not to disturb the line.
work quickly!
otherwise paint may stick to plastic.
maybe have some alchohol handy just in case.

put a little alc on the rag.

that's pretty much the first rule of diy isn't it? har har...

cj's method seems like it would work. you could also try a grease pencil.

I've used a grease pencil to fill some engraved panels before, it may work for the fader caps. Just remember to clear coat it afterwards. The panels I made looked great. Delrin black panels mounted into black pelican cases with bright white lettering.
