I salvaged a mains tranny from an old Sony tape recorder. The markings on it are as represented in my shite ascii drawing below. I don't really know where to "stick the 240v in"... The '()' represent the tags on the base of the tranny. There are basically two rows of tags either side of the body, 6 on each. Can anyone understand this and tell me what is what?

0 () [ ] () 270V

100V () [ ] () 35mA

110v () [ ] () 6.3v

121v () [ ] () 1.5A

220v () [ ] () 5v

240v () [ ] () 0.6A

Thanks PRR. Could you tell me what comes out of the rest of them? As you can see, the other terminals offer both current and voltages. Perhaps it's test meter time... :thumb:

You may already know this but it looks like the "5V" winding is likely for a low noise 1st stage tube like an EF86.  I know they used a 5.7V winding on the Roberts/akai machines for this tube.  It can be confusing at first because 5V is so commonly used as a rectifier winding but the current rating is much too low for this.
