OEP transformers in the United States?

What is the best way to obtain OEP transformers if living in the United States?

Is there a US distributor? Or is it easier to just order from the UK?

the only thing is they are a special order and they get them from the UK anyway so there is a 19 day lead time when ordering. I've bought 4 from them in the past with no problems.

I think they only charge for shipping from Newark in the US. In other words, they get it to Newark with no extra charges. It seemed really reasonable when I got mine.

i checked my Newark inovice for my OEP order and they didn't charge me for shipping (just $3.34 tax). i may have gotten free shipping on that one from a e-coupon they sent me so i don't know about shipping cost. you might save a bit if you get it from canford UK but you'll have to phone your order in (all international orders are by phone) and it might take a while for shipping (then again Newark has a 19 day lead time on OEPs since they get it from the UK).

redhouse, you can get the OEPs from either Farnell or Canford in the UK. if your relatives live there they'll need to pay VAT(?) as well. don't know if it will save you any.
