Otari MX 7800

I may buy one of these off a guy for 200 bucks. But it needs a new capstan motor. Does anyone know if all mx series motors were the same? I'm assuming they're all 24 dcv.

Do you think this would work in it? My electronics knowledge is really limited, I'm only 17. If this one doesn't work, is there any possible way to replace it? Please help a struggling 17 year old out. Thanks!

but here in germany, you can call their serviceline and get support.
check their website www.otari.com, you can download manuals of most of their machines and check your local supporter.
and they still sell their servicemanuals with all schematics.
