Hey...

I'm planning this modular 3U mic pre rack thing which will have up to 6 stereo modules (for a total of 12 chans) you can plugin/pullout, there'll be a fold down front panel with display and encoders n such for that relay pot control bidness...

Now for the psu... as each pre has it's own voltage requirement - ranging from say +/-24 to +/-12 I was thinking of using a beefy 160VAC 2x24V tx with 2 LM338Ts setup up for +/- 24VDC (as 24V will be max (not incld phantom))...then for any other voltages I'd do the regulating locally on the plugin pre module pulled from the incoming +/-24V...

also, the box I'm using has a nice all metal papst impedence protected fan on the back (behind psu module/heatsink) which has 115V 15W written on it - can I just attach this to one side of the primary ye?

Cheers
