hi, i just registered to this forum, but followed a lot of threads in the past months. a lot of interesting stuff is going on here! great!

well, now my question:
within the next few weeks i'll work over a soundcraft 500 foh desk with a lot of scratchy pots and switches. some of them have to be replaced. the brand of these parts is alps, but does anyone know out of which series these come from? if possible i want to stick with the originals.

with best recards, loca

hi loca,
go to the soundcraft website, look under products and they have the series 500 FOH console user guides. there should be a parts list in there somewhere that will give you parts numbers.
hope this helps.

thanx for your information.
in the user guids and the parts list i found there are information about ic-types, but i still could'nt find out from what series the pots and switches are.

i think i'll probably know as soon as i have the board under my fingers... ;-)

with best regards, loca

If you are looking for schematics for the 500/600 series they are at my site.
Have a look at headfonz.rutgers.edu/henk

If problem is the fader , just clean it and they will work fine again.
You could try that aswell with the other pots
