We keep our "special-connector" cables in different colours, XLR cables are always black. Makes it easier to find in a hurry (or in a mess)..
:thumb:

We do something similar at work. We color code cables based on length and or type.

For example black cables are always 25 feet XLR-XLR
Red 10 Feet XLR-XLR
and Green 15 Feet XLR-XLR

Purple cable always digital

Grey cable always 1/4- !/$ TS and TRS

Outside of that eE will Tech flex are more special cables TT- (whatever),etc, etc, etc

As far as I remeber you can buy XLR-plugs from Sennheiser that you can replace the Din-connector with. Fits, looks good and makes life easier... It's surprinsingly affordable (Although we are talking about the Sennheiser/Neumann-company...). Something like 15 Euros or so.

Yes, a great mic.

You can buy the DIN screw-lock connectors from Farnell. I've got Beyer M69's and various AKG's with DIN connectors, and just make up short DIN>XLR leads.

[quote author="jensenmann"]DIN is like this: 1+ 2gnd 3-
XLR is 1gnd 2+ 3-
So connect DIN1 to XLR2, DIN2 to XLR1 DIN3 to XLR3

Now I'm confused

I have a microphone that has a DIN out connected like this: pin3 ---- signal
pin2 ---- shield
The + has no connection ?
How should I make the connection to xlr ?
