I've got an Electrodyne 810 EQ in for repair (same as 809 EQ but with one more low frequency)...it's not passing signal and I believe the little, round, black can (the amp) is shot....anyone have a schematic for these?

thx

hi.

You should try to post this at the orphan audio forum.
He will probably be able to help.

Dennis

Use the search function at the top for Electrodyne if you haven't already. For some reason Quad Eight comes to mind. Q8 was formed by some folks from Electrodyne and someone said the op amp was the same. AM4 maybe? Not sure.

Electrodyne 809/810 uses an A-1000 opamp which, incidentally, according to Ken at Orphan Audio is actually a Fairchild uA-709 IC opamp with discrete current boost transistors on its output. Quad Eight opamps are different for sure. For one thing, QE uses +/-28v and Electrodyne uses +/-12v (from a +24 supply) so i don't think you could substitute one for the other.

no schematic, but info here might help..
