ok so i don't have the tamura output transformers for my pair. any other options? are they just 600:600 line transformers? like my altec 15356?

also ive seen the DI jacks some are putting in, these are HIZ right? for guitars and keys etc?? reason i ask is that i want to put line level signals into it from my daw and am wondering if the input transformer can take line level with the input gain turned down?

anyone bypass the eq?????

all my other questions are anwsered by the other posts.

thanks!!!

if you wire the "direct" input, you can run instrument/line level into it. I've run bass guitar and my V-drums through them and they sound really good that way.

btw, the "direct in" mod effectively bypasses the input xfmr. You use a switched 1/4" and wire it in so that it opens and bypasses the input xfmr where it connects to the board and sends the "direct" signal to the board instead.
