« on: July 14, 2006, 01:57:48 PM »
I am looking for some small chicken-head knobs around 20mm long. Usually they are much bigger.

Anyone?

Yeah - I've asked about these - I remember seeing them in a catalogue years ago - now that I want some, I can't find them.
Anybody?

Ask for chick head knobs, not chicken head.

Hmmmm, chick, head, knob ....all in one sentance.

CJ - do you pay less for your chick-head-knobs than you do for full size. (I pay 'bout 30p/50c for each one). If so, order me a bucket full - the bucket will "cum in handy"(punn intended)

Are you sure that this topic doesn't belong in the Brewery?

I stay away from the new chicken heads because they don't have the brass sleeves. It's hard to get the pure plastic chicken heads to stick in the shaft and take studio abuse. And the old material was tougher also, bakelite or phenolic.

So it's surplus, ebay, or Andy's garage for me.

I like the slightly larger chicken heads the best. Closer to 1 inch instead of 3/4.

I think Epiphone uses smaller Chicken heads on their amps.  They look a little cartoon-ish though.

Or you can try here.  Not many small, but maybe something you like.
