Hello all,

I'm converting 2 MIDAS Pro4a strips to a rack. I want to replace the P+G Fader by a pot. The schems say it's a 5K, so I bought 5K linear pots, made sense.

That fader has 4 wires coming out... Green, Blue, Yellow and Red (+ shield). Looks like the Green and the Blue are tied together and routed to the ground. Yellow and Red are left. So I thought-> Oh, that's easy, just use Green and Blue for ground and Yellow and Red for pin #2 and #3.

It didn't work as expected, looks like my pot is always full on... Might be an error on the PFL circuit too, but I doubt it.

Anyone has some clues? Thanks!

I hooked a stereo passive fader up a few weeks ago.. without pulling it all apart. Per deck: Red and Yellow were input and output (dunno which but pretty sure Yellow is the wiper) the Blue/Green went to ground.

The exit point of the wires from the fader body is defined as the bottom of the fader;

Top = Red
Wiper = Yellow
Bottom = Black, Blue and Green
