found some chips w/marking "VCA 1537"

I found some chips that say "VCA 1537"
...that's all. A few say b & g(?) audio on them too. They look used.

Are they this?

I got an old slab of electronics here that was part of the front end of a record dutting lathe or something... Big heavy thing with Davens on it and a pair of big VU meters and lots of tubes on the back... made by 'Fairport' or something similar, I'd have to look at the maker's name to be sure... 'Fairman?' -No that doesn't sound right...

Anyway, I'll trade it for a couple of 1537's...

Maybe not. There was the 1537 that pre-dated the 1537A. The 1537 wasn't that hot.... or should I say, it was hot. It would get so hot and unstable that it would fry the part.

And yes they were labeled B&B.
