Just got my latest issue of Sound on Sound through the post (I am a subscriber)
There is an ad for the next issue (out 15 september)
Picture of what I presume is Bill Putnam and a techie - at the UA test workbench poking around the inards of a U1176 - soldering iron in hand
Test equipment all over the bench
Next months issue has an article on...
"When Rocket Science met Audio - Tom Dowd, George Massenburg, Bill Putnam etc.."
Looks like a good article to keep an eye out for
My lips are salivating already (I will go down to the SOS offices at lunch time and give them some biscuits as a present - the office is just around the conrer from my work)

Cool!

I'm not a subscriber, but thanks to the kind folks at WHSmiths I usually get to scan most copies. If it's a good 'un it's bought though! I'll check it out.

I love those studio-busters articles where Paul White pops round to a readers studio to sniff out problems...

"...well the massive hum on your recordings could be the mains cable you're using for mic leads..." etc etc!

:green:

it's only one article and not a series...
