Hi... yesterday I went to a room, store room... and I found there some nice looking gear, down the layer of dust.
I take some pics...

Oks... They are all sony exept the "gear03" and "gear04". I supose that gear00 are 8track recorders, MCI ones... but I dont know the model. I think that the "gear02" is a 1/4" recorder... ¿maybe 3 chanels?. The 01 and 03 had video controls... and the 04 seems to be syncro gear to match all... They are a lot of used 1"tapes and other accesories...

Im very interested in to adquire the three mci 8 chn recorders and syncro gear... the 1'4" recorder would be nice too. I dont know exactly what they are (models) and dont know how expensive would be. I must give an initial offer and im totally blind about how much these gear separately can cost. Of course... I dont know if they work or not... and the vendor dont know too.

Can you guys help me a little identificating and tassing these?
it would be fantastic to have these recorders.... I have a MCI JH-600 console and possibly it works nice with these.

Thanks!

The 8-tracks are JH-110's. -Looking at the tape path on teh right hand side, they are at least B revision, possibly 'c'.

That ¼" machine is at least a half-inch, probably a 1-inch, looking at the rollers & guides...

The Sony video machine is the same as the Ampex machines that we used to have round here...

The Geise gear looks like synchroniser stuff... Never used any of that particular brand, so I can't offer much help...

I look for the BVH2000 and yes you are truth its exactly like the one I post  Thanks Keith I go to look for JH-110s. I'd like to know, like Toby, if you can explain what you can think about that recorder, id like to know how much expensive would be it too.
Thanks for the info

the JH110 8 tracks are exactly the same as my first one :)

my guess is they are rev C

pretty damn dirty.. heheh

All I can say about the one I had was that if I had kept it every molex connector would/should have been replaced... as well as the cinch jones connectors... they get cruded up pretty bad over their age and become very intermittent.. something to consider if your paying for any of these machines...

the cards in the drawers also tend to be a little finiky.. but as long as you seat em and minimize disturbance they usualy are fine.

hmm looking at the 00 pic again my bet is a revB

I'd get two.. one for parts :)

oh and if its one of those... "no clue if they even work" I would offer no more than $250 us dollars for all three. remember your probably doing him a favor by getting them out of there :)

the one I picked up about 4 years ago only cost me $600 and that was 4 years ago... no dust and in ok condition...

look around for the locator/remotes... about the size of a toaster :) I see some cables there and I think I see one remote sitting on one of the machines?

amd dont even think about putting a piece of tape on any of those machines until they are cleaned up!!!

Yeah... thanks thanks Scenaria for tell me your experience with these :) . Yes there are the locator/remotes for all machines, and some spare parts too (I dont know si are parts or broken parts).
Im very interested in opinions about these gear from people... before I decide to buy or not to buy it...

Thanks

Arnau

can somebody tell me from what year maybe these gear... I think that JH100s are from 70s... arent it? To know if I can argue that they are very old and need repairs... (that will be, shure...)

Arnau

not yet.... I must see the vendor and make and offer first. I know only a guy that works in the store and found that gear... I must be patient....

I would be interested in one since I have some old 8 track tapes that were recorded on a B and C and need to be moved to digital.

I had a JH110 B and C long, long time ago.......

The C series was great and stable but the B series had some problems with the speed after it would heat up and some of the logic wasn't working correctly. :?:

I'll offer $200 for the best one ..........

Watch out for the brokers who will offer next to nothing

the c revisions were made in the 80s and those look c revision since they have the sony name on them I dont think sony took over till after c revision since my 2 track is a c version and it says MCI

think the 3 channel is a 2 track w/timecode it does look like its at least 1/2 in I could use a set of those rollers

The MCI 110's can sound very good when everything is running right (we chose the 110 over the StuderA80 when I archived and transferred the Big Star catalog). Assuming the heads are in decent shape, they will be good sounding machines...

Thanks for all that info about that gear. Im agree a lot to all you. Now I will try to get it, Im very interested in the 110's and the three tracks too, and we have an MCI JH-618 that havent yet a tape recorder (we use DAW).

Thanks for your offer thestudio, but probably we take two 110's and the 3 tracks... another guy (who finded the gear) takes the otherr 110... sorry

Im happy that they can soud good... and I love to repair and put on gear that dont works (if it will happen with these)
