meaning, I often see the notation CW or CCW on schematics. One thing puzzles me and that is the position we need to see the potentiometer itself. Is it to be seen from the position like where you would put the pot as on your frontpanel (shaft pointing at you) or from the bottomside? I had a few times the problem that after soldering something together the min position became max and vice versa... this must be simple to prevent innit? I'm sure this is very basic knowledge, however a flaw in my limited diy wisdom

meaning the position where CW is printed refers to maximum or minimum resistance when "full open" by user?

most clear explanation ever
Cheers Jakob :guinness:

and so,
CCW marks the position the viper will be at when the user turns "fully down"

thanks Dave, this CW & CCW I knew, it just happens regularly that I've have gear output going down when reaching for that blast at 11 and wanted to get this sorted out for once and forever.

We're still learning, myself and my schizoïd alter ego, aren't we?

Operators perspective is what I wasn't sure of...
