Don't you hate it when someone posts a "sky is falling" thread? I do. And I just did it. Argh again.

Roland Canada took a while to respond, but they have the parts I need for the Roland M-120 line mixer I want to fix and eBay.

I should know better.

Thanks to everyone who offered to help.

Rest of the original thread below.

I just got off the phone with Roland. I was looking for the rare input jacks for a Roland M-120 that I had the misfortune of acquiring a few years back.

The part is $4.00.

Roland refused to ship it to me. They don't deal with Canada. They also refused to ship it to Roland Canada. They don't deal with them either.

When I asked where else I could source the part, the representative on the phone said "I have no idea."

As George Bush said, "Fool me once, shame on... shame on you. Fool me -- you can't get fooled again."

Argh. Frustrating.

What is wrong with people?

That's weird...you should call the local store that carries Roland..
I really like some of their keyboards...my first ever was a Roland XP-10....and plan to buy me one over the korgs...

yeah roland blows , just ebayed my fantom x88.
they should snap about the power of softsynths.
or get on the boat.

a 200$ softsynth crushes a 3000$ roland .
they brag about how they have !!32 MEGS OF SOUNDS!!

LOL , im using a 3 gigabyte sampled piano proggy , 32 meg that !

also check out cakewalk rapture or albino 3

those two progs smashed the x-series or the sh series.
(the reason i ebayed my fantom)

Greetings

Roland is a company wich is streched out thin,
The hard part is finding the good person to talk to.
My guess would be to go to a store wich holds Roland and try to get them to contact a canadian sales representative.

Maybe he wont give a ....
But maybe he will

I used to have his number in my contact cards,
all i have left is the contact for the canadians keyboard specialist, Adrian Marsi
I doubt this is in his job description but maybe he could get you to the good person.

Thanks, folks.

donnysparks - do you have a Paypal account? I could send you the $$ that way. I appreciate your offer of help. Roland Canada doesn't have a phone number for tech support. I'm waiting on an email response from them. Roland USA didn't think Roland Canada would have the parts.

Non of the Roland offices share parts. I had the same problem about 5 years ago, Roland Canada had the part I needed and they would not ship to the US, or to Roland US. Roland US did not have the part. They have never been much fun to deal with.
