Yamaha MC-1604 mixer - mod for +4dB operation?
« on: October 12, 2006, 10:29:41 PM »
Hi gang,

I have a line on a Yamaha MC-1604 which is, I understand (according to PRR), a "capable" mixer I plan on using with my 1" 8-track.

Would anyone know where I can get schematics? The online manual doesn't include them. I see that the aforementioned link has some schematics, just wanted to know if there were any more not included above.

More importantly, would anyone know if there is a modification that would allow +4dB operation? As I understand it, the mixer has -10dB ins/outs. My 8-track is +4dB.

Any guidance or assistance would be most appreciated.

All the best,

Don't think its much different than the MC-1602.  I have the service manual for that one.  You can get service material from Yammy and they are cheap and quick about it.
