My problem is this. I am constantly mixing on digital boards and I want to use parallel compression. This becomes a problem because of convertor latency and a lack of the right kind of comp in those nasty little boxes. So I have pondered and have come up with the idea above.

This is pretty much straight off of the John Hardy site. Page 5 figure 6.

Is the 15k resistor at the trafo secondary necessary with the load of the pot and the load of the GSSL?

Please excuse the homely schematic... baby steps.

Am I on the right track?

I changed the host to photobucket...

SSL's Crush and Blend is more elegant than my idea, but I have all of the elements to do it the brutish way.

I love the way the 990s sound driving an output, btw.

If anyone sees problems I don't know about with this design, please let me know...

Any opinion will help.
