Hi firends, I have problem with the noise of my compressor.
Here is fft taken from spectralab:
http://www.picvalley.net/u/41/40571_489.GIF

I read -32dBv using my fluke and -36dB using cool edit.

Here are picture inside:

I connect earth to pin 1 on every XLR connector, but this decrease noise only with 3 db ;(
I solder 100nf capacitors direct to any opamp and that chips.

What I found. In any configuration of ssl this nois doesnt change. I connect input to gnd. Try to use externel sidechain. change threshold and makeup, and the noise is the same :(

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Nikolay, your transformer is too closer from the IEC Inputs voltage.

On my SSL, I moved the transformer and turnover him to find the best location before fixed it to the rack

therefore, I have the same noise as matt, I will put A offboard PSU.

DO you have a sample of your noise...

I will put sample this evening

Guys, I think that this is not only a power supply problem :(
se fft analys. This is not a normal to rise the noise with the frequency :(

As you see if there is pws problem this will make noise in the low frequencies only (I thing....)

Nevermind I will make star grounding and another pcb for power supply.

thanks! :)
wow, what is this frequency at 20Khz,
I don't know :( and I'm not sure from where it comes ;(

Something's wrong here - the fft shows some -95dB noise at 50Hz?. Certainly not bad. You aren't using it into a mic input by any chance? Mind you, this is a line level device, not for mic pre-processing..

Hi friends, this is a noise sample from my ssl..

I will make separate power suply and star ground. I wish that this will fix this noise...

Ok guys, I fix some problems, and now the noise seems like this:
