Would there be a problem using this transformer for the input of the G9? I know the turns ratio is much higher than the input transformers suggested, but I already own a couple, and I'm just wondering what, if any, problems I'm likely to encounter from using them for this circuit.

Try it, and tell us if you like it.

There might be problems with overloading the first gain stage at very hot microphones and high-ratio input transformers.

But it's worth a try!
