I need to get 12V out of JLM 48V to feed my signal indicator LEDs in my preamp racks. Anyone has some simple schematic or layout laying around which would do the trick?

If you have any simple layout for audio to LED indicator it's most welcome also. Thanks.

Yo, if you want 12V over the LED you'd put one resistor in series and one in parallel to the LED. The one is series should be 3 times bigger than the other one.

Dont know what kind of LED you have, but with standard LEDs you just put a resistor in series to limit the current goin thru the diode. Around 5-8mA is suitable, and the voltage across the diode being just a couple of volts maybe.

Thanks for the cases btw, will post pictures of the finished G1176 soon.

/m

I need this to feed the sound to light comparator, not just the LED
But thanks anyway. I got it all sorted out with a little help of my friend Matt..

Yeah, it's time I see some finished 1176 with those cases. :green:
