Mounting tube devices
« on: November 27, 2006, 05:50:48 AM »
Hi all!

A friend of mine has an Anthony DeMaria Labs DL1000 compressor limiter. He wants to mount it in a rack in a horizontal position - that is with the backside pointing against the floor. My question is if there is any problems in mounting it like this - I mean with the tubes, heat etc.?

Thanks

Morten

They are only pre-amp tubes.  It's not as if you have the full toaster there with valve rectification, regulation, power valves as well.  Personally I wouldn't be worried... but if he is, maybe ask the distributor.
