I'm going to attemtp to use my ipod to play some backing tracks during a live performance. Tesing this out in my rehersal space, it's fine going into the -10 rca inputs on my mixer. I will probably at some point need to interface it with a PA via the mic or line in at some point. So I want to make a DI that will cover all my bases. Since I'm coming from the headphone out on my shuffle I'm not sure what the best route will be. Would a -10 to +4 converter do the trick? Or just a regular DI circuit? I'd also like to include a stereo to mono summer that I can switch in and out of the circuit for when the PA is mono only. I've tried a search, but I haven't found what exactly is the proper way of coming out of a headphone output to a line in.
