Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a M49 mechanical kit. I'm aware of the FLEA one, but it's a bit over my budget. Anyone knowing of other options? I did a search on this site with no result...

Thanks in advance!

SE makes a mic that resembles the body style of the 49, but the grille is taller, almost like a tlm103 or something.

i havent seen a m49 clone, probably because of the original wiring making it so horizontal (vertical tube and horizontal switch board). alot of the clones and newer mics use one PCB vertically and cant cram it into such small of space. that would be my guess.

Thanks asm,
I went to the SE site. You're talking about the MINI, or M1C in the States. Looks like being smaller than the M49.
I guess you are right, the M49 body shape doesn't make it a good candidate for a project... unless I find a kit for a sensible price, which most likely won't happen.
Sorry for my exotic English!
