i'm looking for a way to build a powerconditioner for 240 volts going to the studioracks.
Something like a furman racklight/ would work well i assume?

don't need the lights, just stable and clean 240v outputs and would like to diy this. i'm sure someone at The Lab must have done this?

thanks Viitalahde

will check it out right now

Does Furman put out 120+ and 120-,
or just clean 240 phase + neutral?

Tony;

the links:

I do not like as it is totally DIY.
Since the filters are easy to buy
and will work better I see no point in DIY.
DIY with the parts, not the filter.
In the USA CORCOM is a filter vendor.
Here is the erope website supporing them:
http://www.corcom.de/catalog/chassis-mount.htm

before and after the filter use MOV's
just as the "jonrisch" website above.

The main I am concerned a average person cannot DIY the filter. The filter has many cavities to increase the RF losses of the noise signals and
an average person will not construct the layut of the filter and use enough
metal sheilding to get the required performance that you can get with an off the shelf filter. Go look at your surpluss electronic parts vendors first.

discovered that it is probably not worth the time and efforts to try and build it myself. Instead ordered a corporatemade powerstabilazor today

SSL clone soldering will be way more fun ;-)

Cheers and thanks for looking out for solutions....
in case someone still comes up with a cool design, i might try it for other racks,
