Hi.

I have the remains of an old Cadac desk that i am trying to piece together.
For mic input it uses a black Marinair T1444, which is the same as the Neve 10468.
But for the line input it has a T1448 as opposed to a T1442 in a Neve circuit.
There is also a T1447 on the group inputs.

Does anyone have any info or specs on the T1447 and T1448???

Regards,
Dennis

Hi,

Thanks for those links.
A little help, but not the whole story.

Anyone else have more info??

Regards,
Dennis

I did have some info on the T1447 but cant't find it, sorry ! However I have used them reversed as mic transformers successfully, a la 1272 where they give slightly more gain. The main difference compared to a 31267 is the ratio is slightly higher from memory.

Hi.

Thanks for the replies!

I will try to Bo to see if he has the info on these.

The T1447 is used in mid circuit of the monitor group modules.
Not exactly sure what it does.

And the T1448 is the Line in on the input modules.

Regards,
Dennis

Anyone else ever get anymore info on the T1448, pinout etc?

Are these cool trafos?

I found this posted by Tekay:

Marinair T1448
This is a line bridging transformer. Designed specifically to isolate equipment with previously unbalanced input arrangment, this transformer may be inserted without serious loss of level.
10k/2k5 : 9k6/2k4 ( 2 x 5k : 2 x 4k8 windings )
Secondary load: 9k6 (rated)
Input impedance: 10k
voltage ratio-insertion loss:1dB
Frequency response (600ohms source, 9k6 load): +/-0,3dB (20Hz-15kHz and -0,5dB at 20kHz
Distortion: <0,1% (above 40Hz) and < 0,01% (500Hz-10kHz)
Squarewaves: No overshoot, no ringing,

Ah thanks, I had seen them mentioned together before...

I'll ask around, we have just got a little Audix console at work... although the trafos in that look more like Belclere/OEP...

Just for the record: I found a T1448 at the line input of an Eventide FL201 Instant Flanger. Don´t ask me if it´s the original transformer at that spot. Anyway Eventide offered transformer balanced in/outs as an option back then.
