Can this circuit be used to measure inductors for Pultecs in the article says can measure up to 3 H ??? also says Iron core windings ????
Im still very much a beginner so maybe this is useless.....hope not tho

Hi Dave try saving as Jpeg then view in windows picture and fax viewer should be nice and clear.

Cheers.

Sorry man, even if I paste the image into Irfanview and blow it up 170%, I can sort of read it but the blurry letters give me a headache.

It looks like a fairly conventional voltage divider-type impedance measuring jig. You can make it even simpler than that if you don't need to measure inductance in the presence of DC--and you don't, if it's for a Pultec circuit. Try this on for size:

Cool thanks Dave I dont have sig gen at the mo can I just feed bit of AC in there ?.
Dont understand why cant read that scan comes thru this end as clear as lookin at the book maybe I can rescan at higher res later....like you said I think its pretty conventional I didnt no about the DC so thanks for the schematic.

I found this accurate meter but unfortunately the inductance measuring range is too short:

To get a meaningful number for inductance, you need specify frequency and level.
If you imagine your inductance following a typical B-H curve, then you can imagine the non linear figures for inductance.
Imagine whats going on as frequency and level shift, during music?

So just take the center freq of the band your working with, and use a level close to the program material going into da box.

Get a signal generator.
Now.
I don't care if you have to rape your dead granny.
Before you die, you Will own a signal generator.

Hmm, howabout a GroupDIY Signal Generator?

We certainly have the resources here?

Fabio? Gustav? If ya know what I'm sayin.
Cause ya know I ain't playin.

White boys Can ryme.
They just can't make beats.
Cause thats what I do. I don't produce. Make beats. Know sayin?

:green:

Yo CJ your the DJ........Oh dear not very good I no
I may even have one a friend kindly gave me boxes of valves and capacitors and junk and there was a little unit size of a multimeter I think it was a home made sig gen.....I will raid shed to find it.

If it isnt one could i use a analogue synthersizer????.

Or are tones available on CDs ?????
