I'm sure we had had a drawing from Dan K. about a DI circuit that may be part of the 2NV.
I can't find a link right now but I'm sure it is on the Group DIY site ... somewhere ???

Did you ever fire that baby up?

Hiya Peter,

I'm going one step at a time. I have the preamps up and running and sounding great. Next I'm going to integrate the rest into it. The wiring was too complex for me to grasp all at once. I hope to get it all going sometime in the next few months.

The Dan Kennedy Schematic (KennedySchemo.pdf in previous post) shows a 1/4" TRS connector as the DI input. Can someone explain how that works with a TS guitar or bass input? Wouldn't it either short pin 3 to ground or leave it floating? I am assuming pin 2 is the tip...

Thanks
Kevin.

The TRS is used so that it can switch the XLR and phantom circuit
out, and the buffer out, in.

Like your favorite guitar pedal it senses the connection to ground
through the ring contact on the input jack by a very small current from
a PNP on the high side of the relay.
