tossed this thing together tonight - gonna put it into the rack tomorrow and bounce some mixes.

overall cost was about $4-5 since I scrapped the enclosure from the trash at work. Same with the wires, and the copper. Only thing I paid for was resistors and the terminals - and its going to terminate directly to my ADC patchbay. I bet its gonna sound nice too!
 
Maybe I'm missing something but... -why?

Why not just solder the resistors onto the back of the ADC patch sockets, and bus the other ends together?

I don't get it, I have to confess. -Maybe I'm missing something.

I thought about doing it directly onto the patchbay, but this is more modular. I like to be able to change things around if I need to, since I only have one little patchbay for everything.
 
Actually, considering the low signal level on the bus (assuming it's the usual line-to-mic level mixing bus we've discussed here many times) it's not a bad idea at all to build it into a shielded enclosure.
