Anybody got any experience with studer 169 racking?

Hi all, i'm in the process of getting some studer 169 mic channels, i'm interested in racking them, but I know that they don't have a line amp or OP tranny on board. There's a job lot of studer 089 line amps with a power supply here

could these be used suceessfully, and would the power supply be any use with the mic channels?

I suppose I should be careful, it might be easier to buy a whole desk than end up something that turns into most of a desk anyways....

Anybody?

Also, anyone got any studer channels/busses/psu's empty frames etc for sale?
