Hiya Chaps,

I'm Currently building (in as little spare time as i 'ave got !), a Single ended parallel stereo EL34 amp.

I could get two SE OPT's from sowter http://www.sowter.co.uk/specs/se15.htm, But I'd love to have a go at doing my own first.

Anyway, I'm starting to read up on SE OPT Design, so , would any of you chaps be interested in putting a few top tips on design ?

I'm looking for a OPT with Pri Z - 1.5K, Plate Z - 1.5K, D.C. m.A - 180, 30 - 40 W, and a good a frequency response as I can get.

Haven't got as far as selecting core / core material yet, But I do like the style of Rowan's 'C' core beauts  ,
what are the pro's and cons of using say,
'C' Core, EI Lam, Toroidal etc,etc......

So come on , all ye Gods of Iron, What's the best path to take ?
