Hi!
I'm trying to make a volume control for my Hypex UCD180 modules.
Input impedance of modules is 100K, source is CD player or sound card, i will need dual mono control.
This soultion seems to be ok. Any thoughts on parts used? Pot is logharitmic, author claims it can be better than cheap linear..
Ok, link:

Could someone explain what is the resistance at minimum position and at maximum and why. I would really like to understand what are pot and resistor doing there.
I know i could do a stepped attenuator, but i don't have time to do it only to test the UCD. What i need now is something very simple and cheap, but still usable for tests.
Thanks!
Miha
