Simple question about lighted pushswitches

It depends on the switch family. Many have separate contacts for lamp and switch, so it's up to the circuit designer to decide when the lamp should light.

[IMHO this is the most useful mode of operation, as the lamp can double as a diagnostic. I use it for Phantom, so the lamp will be on if and only if P48 is actually present]
 
Thanks. Yeah the led is on separate lugs.
I have no idea how to make the led turn on when the switch is "in" though.
Its a DPDT switch, and all the poles are already used for other switching.
