Maybe those of you with real-on-the-bench experience can answer this one for me...

can those relays be replaced with 5v switching relays?

If I place a opamp/mic-amp after the circuit, do I really need that lundahl transformer?

Answers on a postcard.

Yes, but you can't then use the little switch board.

It's a Jensen.
The transformer is optional. The input board can be stuck in front of any mic amp circuit.

i have no issue with redoing the pcb for that schematic... (might pinch a few ideas from yours too -- if u don't mind)
