another thing i was working on.
i "modded" or better completely rebuild these old mv102 fet microphones, featuring the mk102 capsule.

Nice work

An idea for you.

Maybe use a different transformer like in one of the schoeps microphones. The transformer was in a case that pluged into the microphone and then the cable IIRC. This lets the transformer be bigger than what would fit in the body.

i know. i´m just starting to find materials to wind my own transformers. unfortunately there´s no shop like magmet in europe, so i´m still trying to find laminations.

but the beyer is also a fine transformer, did you have a chance to try it?
