Hello,
I'm planning to build a very simple mixer for analogue summing and location recording.
My idea was to use the 1512 or 1510 for compactness reason and because these chips seems to be good sounding.
If I pad the input of the preamp to accept line levels is that acceptable in term of performance ?
I mean, when I don't use this mixer for locaion recordings, I will be my main buss summing mixer, so I need the best possible sound quality, dynamics,...
Is it better to have a separate line receiver like THAT has, like THAT 1200 IC series ?.
Help me to decide the best topology.
It needs to be compact (must be easily portable).
SMD is not a problem.
Thanks
