Since it's difficult get all the caps values with the same brand/type in the filter section of the g-pultec i'm thinking to use series/parallel capacitors to get the missing values in the high section.
Is this technique the same as using the original value or does this introduce side effects?

It shouldn't.. Unless our work is sloppy or something.

It's a tight space in that board set and it would be nice for a board overhaul with some more capacitor spaces for a variety of choices. It's still on my to do list.

The value is the value you have or make.
 
thats actually the best way to do it, caps were all over the place back then, some even had a 20 percent tolerance, so paralell the caps by ear.
Tube Tech uses this in their P Type EQ.
