I bought this from another member along with some parts ,
but it would seem that the flange should bend towards the back
to leave room for the pot mounting nuts behind the panel ?

How is it meant to be ? it btw is the original style 1176

hi greg,
i was a bit confused to when i first started assembling mine, but the first (top pic) is correct i believe. the flange should be on the inside of the side panel lip and the flange is the correct way in the picture. you'll note when you put the front panel that if you face it the other way there will be a space between the front panel face and the internal support panel. it should be flush with each other.
hope i didn't confuse you.
regards,
grant

The pot mounting nuts go on the front. (faceplate) It is bent correctly.
The edges of the front backing plate go on the inside of the side plates and are secured with nuts if I remember. That is why it is bent inward.

Your 1st photo shows the correct way of mounting the 2nd. panel. You can use the 4 bolts or
leave them out as both panels are held to each other by the pots and meter.

It should look like this at the end.

BTW, thanks for the discrete photos :thumb:

True. And I think you will have to drill up the pot holes a bit on both panels
to be able to use the T-pad and alphas. If you are using the original purple knobs
the screening will come very close so drill the holes up a bit more so that you
can center the big knobs perfectly.

I would show you my Purple case from the front but I rather not as it would make
some people's faces green :green:

O.k. thanks everyone , i thought the idea of the flange was to make room
for mounting the nuts behind the panel because of the smaller
hole size for the pots [ right i need to drill them out a bit ]
Which i still think is a good idea , also being inbetween the panel and
the case would make it even more secure , but i get it now

regards Greg
